Question:
How do you improve a wide or low nasal dorsum that is commonly seen in Asian noses?
Answer:
When the nasal bones themselves are wide, we will undertake osteotomies (cutting the nasal bones with micro-osteotomes) and shifting them toward the middle, actually narrowing the nose.
The low dorsum is addressed by an augmentation graft, carefully carved to the proper dimensions and placed on the nasal bridge. This graft not only raises the bridge but also creates an additional appearance of narrowness.
