The Overprojected Nose

Question:
My nose sticks out way to far... how do you fix that?

Answer:
There are a number of techniques to deproject a nose that sticks out too far. It all depends upon the reason your nose sticks out.

If your nose sticks out too far because your nose is large, and the large nose is holding your tip out, then reducing the overall size of your nose will allow the tip to "drop back" toward your face.

Sometimes, the tip cartilages themselves are too large and must be reduced in size. In this circumstance, a portion of the tip cartilages themselves may be removed to drop you nose back.

This patient had elements of both problems - her nose was a little too large and was holding the tip forward, and also her tip itself was too large. A combination of techniques were applied to deproject her tip.
