Question:
How do you improve an under-projected tip in an Asian nose?
Answer:
This is accomplished by strengthening the nasal tip, often with a graft called a columellar strut. Also, a tip graft is very helpful to increase projection in these cases.
In the “typical” Asian nose, a rounded, bulbous tip and an underprojected tip go hand in hand. Many of the techniques used – for example, a tip graft – have positive effects on both aspects of the nasal tip in these cases!
