Question:
I had a rhinoplasty to change a bulbous tip and I feel like I now have a pinched appearance. Can this be improved?
Answer:
Yes it can. The traditional (ie old-fashioned) way to thin a bulbous tip was to cut out a lot of the tip cartilage. Unfortunately, this is really not the best way to do this, and it often leads to a pinched tip. (For more information on how to fix a bulbous tip, see my chapter on The Bulbous Tip in my online surgical textbook, www.RhinoplastyArchive.com ). This can be fixed by a revision rhinoplasty specialist. For more information, see my website www.RevisionRhinoplasty.com
