I have a very noticeable twisted nose due to breaking it when I was younger. How is this fixed?
Fixing a twisted nose can be as simple as shifting the broken bones back to the middle. Sometimes – if there is a deviation or twist in the lower two-thirds of the nose – the part made of cartilage – it can be a bit more complicated. Surgeons specializing in rhinoplasty have dedicated themselves to mastering the various techniques that can be used to straighten a twisted nose. For more information, see my lecture on "The Severely Twisted Nose" on my website, www.TheRhinoplastyCenter.com.This lecture was given to other rhinoplasty surgeons at a conference in New York City, and it has been transcribed and placed on the website. Also, see before and after photos in the photo album.
